Pregnancy Calendar How To Track Your Baby With A Pregnancy Calendar

By Jennifer R Davis

One of my favorite things about being pregnant was tracking my baby’s progress with a pregnancy calendar. With it, you can see exactly how developed your baby is and it makes your sonograms even that much more fun. Week by week, you can see how your child is developing. For example, you can see what your baby looks like at three months versus what it looked like at three weeks. Also, you can use a pregnancy calendar to do things like figure out when the baby will be due. Conversely, it also works backward. For instance, if your due date is December 20, your child was conceived around March 28, assuming you have a 28 day cycle.

There are tons of places you can go to find a free pregnancy calendar online, or your doctor can help you create your own. It’s really cool to know exactly what is going on with your pregnancy each day. It’s also helpful to know in advance what to expect, such as changes in your body as well as your baby. When you know what is coming, it’s easier to know what is and is not normal, which can go a long way in protecting you and your child.

Pregnancy calendars are usually based on a 40 week pregnancy, although in situations where you expect a longer or shorter gestation period you can have them customized. I really can’t tell you how important it is to have a pregnancy calendar on hand when you’re getting ready to have a baby. Beyond being fun to look at, they are extremely informative and can prepare you for things to come. Indeed, if you’re pregnant or are planning to become pregnant in the near future, I highly recommend that you pick one up or download one from the internet.
